- Leading the analysis and design aspects of drainage/watershed /stormwater/ transportation projects.
- Coordinating design with other disciplines and subconsultants.
- Communicating with the project manager on deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations related to the drainage system and Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans (ESPCP).
- Interacting with the client including preparing communications and other documentation.
- Mentoring and training younger engineers on drainage design.
- Serving as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reviewing deliverables related to drainage design and analysis.
- Supporting the Project Manager during Bid Phase and Construction including answering Requests for Information (RFI), preparing addenda and plan revisions.
- Assisting the Business Team Leader and Project Manager with marketing efforts including, proposal writing, client interaction, and public engagements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain license through reciprocity.
- Ten (10) to twenty (20) years of relevant drainage design and analysis experience preferably (but not required) in Texas. Drainage Manual, GDOT Standards, Details, and Specifications, Georgia Stormwater Manual, and the GSWCC Green Book.
- Stormwater modeling with programs such as ArcGIS, HY-8, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), XPSWMM (1D & 2D), Bentley StormCad, InfoWorks ICM, Microstation, SUDA and GeoPak Drainage, etc.
- Ability to lead a design team to meet a deliverable schedule within a defined budget. Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) proficiency.

- Harris County Toll Road Authority
- Houston Metro
- Surrounding municipalities around Houston
