Pleasant Grove Road
Interchange Reconstruction

Client: City of Rogers
Location: Rogers, Arkansas
Project Cost: $6 million

Project
Pleasant Grove Road was originally constructed as a narrow, two-lane country road. It eventually expanded to six lanes as traffic revolved around the area’s development. However, the Pleasant Grove Road overpass above I-540 remained two lanes, creating a bottleneck. Garver designed improvements to convert the overpass into a six-lane thoroughfare, widen the diamond interchange’s ramps connections, and install traffic signals at the ramp intersections.

Rather than constructing a completely new structure, the project replaced the existing deck and widened the bridge to add lanes. As a prominent thoroughfare in the area, Garver also designed a maintenance of traffic plan to keep from interfering with the heavy traffic.

Client Testimonial
“The Pleasant Grove Road overpass is a key component in the successful movement of traffic due to the amount of residential and commercial development in the area."
