Fayetteville Library

Owner: City of Fayetteville
Client: Meyer Scherer Rockcastle
Location: Fayetteville, Arkansas
Project Cost: $23 million

Garver provided site design for the Fayetteville Public Library. Working closely with the Fayetteville Library Board, Garver obtained Large Scale Development approval from Fayetteville's City Planning Department for the proposed site improvements.

Adjacent residential, commercial, and medical facilities limited typical progression of the work, and Garver coordinated the project with local utilities and with the City to reduce the impacts to these landowners. These efforts included proactive erosion control practices, including a temporary on-site detention pond, a truck wheel wash station, tree protection, and restricting construction traffic to designated corridors.

Garver also designed upgrades to the existing storm sewer, a new municipal water line, and full-depth reconstruction for two adjacent streets. Garver performed construction observation for the street, storm sewer, and water line improvements.
