Project
Garver is providing construction engineering and inspection, materials sampling and testing, and contract administration services for Phase I and Phase II of the City of Huntsville's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) stimulus-funded project. Phase I and Phase II include the planing, resurfacing, and traffic striping of 12 city streets and nearly 18.7 miles.
Garver kept contractors on time and under budget by 4.2 percent while increasing the asphalt tonnage placed by 6.6 percent. The projects included placing more than 47,000 tons of hot-mix asphalt, 90 miles of traffic stripe, and 56,000 feet of traffic signal loop wire.
Garver's specialized services include performing erosion prevention and sediment control inspections, traffic control inspections and serving as traffic control supervisor, and field surveying.
