Will Rogers World Airport
Edge Lighting Upgrade

Client: City of Oklahoma City
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Project Cost: $2.8 million

Project
The Department of Airports at Oklahoma City selected Garver to assist with a time-sensitive project at Will Rogers World Airport, the largest Part 139 Airport in Oklahoma. The airport was slated to receive $3 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds. However, the funding required the airport to have plans bid within 30 days.

Garver delivered the complete bid set within this extremely aggressive timeline, all the while delivering final bid sets on another $1.7 million Economic Recovery project and five other development projects at other airports at the same time.

The project replaces existing incandescent edge lights with LED edge lights and new isolation transformers on multiple taxiways to reduce energy consumption and maintenance efforts. Improvements also include replacing plastic light base cans with precast steel light base cans.
