Conway Airport
New General Aviation Airport

Client: City of Conway
Location: Conway, Arkansas
Project Cost: $18 million

Project
Garver is providing services for a new airport in Conway, which will boast a 100 by 7,000-foot runway with full instrument approaches. A full-length parallel taxiway serving distinct corporate and general aviation areas will be constructed, along with terminal, fuel, and parking facilities.

In addition, Garver is employing several green features to reduce the energy consumption and environmental impact of the facility. These include shorter haul distances for earthwork, and the possible use of hydraulic fill from the Arkansas River; the use of LED taxiway lights and signs for low maintenance and energy use; erosion control matting in ditch flowlines and on fill slopes; and LEEDS standard terminal and other environmentally friendly buildings.
