Project
The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority selected Garver to provide services for the reconstruction of Taxiways T4 and S.
The taxiways serve as dual parallel taxiways for Runway 2C/20C, a runway that experiences a mix of operations including air carriers, military, cargo, and general aviation. In addition to reconstructing these vital taxiways, Garver analyzed the taxiway configuration at the 20C departure end to identify alternatives to the current configuration. Garver aviation planners developed four alternatives for the Airport Authority that balanced construction costs with improved taxiing routes and storage positions.
Garver also completed a line-of-sight study for the air traffic control tower to identify zones in the area that were obscured from the vision of operators in the tower by hangars constructed along Taxiway U.
